ABOUT MACBETH3:

Shakespeare's darkest work, "Macbeth", is reinvented as a macabre post-apocalyptic gender-bending play for three actors, offering Shakespeare's gorgeous language with a supernatural sizzle!

Kate Roxburgh plays MACBETH in this exploration of "a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage", struggling through a dangerous world of demons, darkness and disaster in a never-ending cycle of violence that leaves him back where he started, bleeding on a battlefield, wishing for the glory that he will never enjoy.

The project also features Gavin McClure as Lady Macbeth and Satan, and Lisa Wolpe in various supporting roles. A co-production with Dogsbody Theater Company and The LA Women's Shakespeare Company, MACBETH3 is directed and adapted by Lisa Wolpe, Artistic Director of the LA Women's Shakespeare Company.
